To welcome the new cohort of 2024 physics students and help them quickly integrate into the family of the School of Physical Science and Technology, the school jointly hosted the "Quantum Boost: Launching into the Blue Sky" welcome party with the School of Mechanics and Aerospace Engineering on the evening of November 22 at the third floor of the Second Canteen on the Xipu campus. Nearly 500 leaders, teachers, and new students from both schools gathered to share in this audiovisual feast.
The dazzling lights on stage sparkled like stars in the night sky, illuminating the grand event. The dance performance "Waiting for Your Response" opened the evening's theme of "Quantum Boost: Launching into the Blue Sky." In this segment, students ignited the audience's enthusiasm with their passionate street dance performances, showcasing the vibrant spirit of the newcomers. The play "Julia, Don't Cry" also allowed students to experience the charm and vitality of campus culture. The choir rendition of "The Ordinary Road" expressed the idea that even in an ordinary life, one should live brilliantly, encouraging all new students to continuously explore and strive for greatness.
"With youthful aspirations, we ascend with light," the classical piece "Gathering Violets" revealed that even in our daily campus life, there are many elements of traditional culture, showcasing the talents of the new students and capturing the essence of campus life. A beautiful piano solo immersed us in the wonderful world of music, allowing our spirits to leap with the notes. The choir performance of "The Youth of China" sang of the vigor and limitless future of Chinese youth.
The third segment, "Emerging New Journey, Advancing Together," began with the magic show "Magical World," where new students actively participated and experienced the richness of university life. Listening to "Fragrance of Rice," the singers seemed to take us on a journey to witness the beautiful scene of clouds and the bright moon playing in the sky, encouraging us to set aside our worries and embrace the future with a positive mindset. Finally, the song "You Have Never Left" wrapped up the evening, reminding us that no matter the challenges ahead, we should move forward toward our goals, unafraid of difficulties and obstacles.
